Get Breakthru Software’s Video Mill application for Windows and you will be able to play multiple videos at the same time. Each video will be loaded and played into its own window. If you want to, you can manually place the windows anywhere you want, or with a click of a button you can let Video Mill automatically arrange them for you.

You can install Video Mill on a PC powered by Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Service Pack 3. To do that you must download a 6.2MB file, run it, and follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard.

On Video Mill’s interface you will see a bunch of toolbars in the upper part. You can choose to hide the toolbars you don’t need and you can arrange the ones you need as you see fit. Underneath the toolbars there’s a pane that lists the videos selected for playback and a pane with playback, volume, and other controls.

Say you have two videos and you want to play them at the same time. The first thing you must do is load them into the Video Mill application. Select the first video, press load, and a window that plays your video will show up. Select the second video, press load, and another window that plays your video will show up. You are now free to arrange the windows as you see fit – or you can have Video Mill automatically tile or cascade the windows.

You can pause the playback anytime you want, take a screenshot of the playing video, adjust the volume, set it so the video will loop, and more.

Video Mill is only free to try – the application will close after a while and you will have to restart it. Request an evaluation key and you will get to unlock all the Video Mill’s features; you will have 30 days at your disposal to play with and decide if those features are worth getting a license. You can get a license for one of the 4 Video Mill editions: Basic, Pro, Power, and Ultimate.

Load several videos and have Video Mill play them at the same time, in their individual windows.

Pros

Works with 32 and 64-bit editions of Windows. Play multiple videos simultaneously, in their own windows. There are 4 Video Mill editions to choose from.

Cons

Limited functionality in the trial version. Get an evaluation key to unlock the application's features for 30 days.
